What it is
SIL vacancies and where to look.
A SIL vacancy is a place in a home where a provider already delivers Supported Independent Living (SIL), the NDIS funding for the support workers who help you live at home. Vacancies come and go, and there is no single list of them in Melbourne.
Your support coordinator is usually the best place to start. Provider websites and housing-matching sites list rooms too. Whoever you find, check the provider is registered for SIL before you sign anything.
Where InLife fits
What we can do, and what we can’t.
InLife is a Registered NDIS Provider, but we are not registered for SIL (registration group 0138). We don’t run SIL homes, we have no vacancies, and we can’t take on a SIL arrangement. If SIL is what you need now, your support coordinator can point you to providers who are registered for it.

Is your SIL provider registered?
Since 1 July 2026, SIL has had its own NDIS registration group, 0138. From 1 October 2026 the NDIA has told plan managers to reject SIL invoices from providers who are neither registered nor have applied to register.
To check, search the provider on the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s public provider register and look for group 0138, “Assistance with supported independent living”. If it isn’t listed, ask the provider whether they have applied, and talk to your support coordinator before you move.
